Balut at Krystal’s Cafe

For our next dinner, Ben arranged a special Filipino menu for us at Krystal’s Cafe in the East Village. Among the various usual unmentionables one dish stood out: Balut, a sixteen day fertilized duck egg. A few tables over, a group of ladies was so impressed to see New Yorkers eating Balut, that they sent us over a few glasses of Halo-Halo.
