Cervelle at La Luncheonette

May, 2006

By Courtney M. Kelly

While last month’s outing was  hard to top (visually), it was time again for the monthly gathering of the Gastronauts. This May we opted for a more refined and gentile gathering that took the sampling of lesser animal bits to new heights in culinary delight. We’ sampled Cervelle (calf’s brain), which made us smarter, or at least as smart as a young cow, so it was a bigger upgrade for some of us than others.
Over dinner, founder Ben Pauker shared some tales from his recent trip to the Congo where he pursued exotic cuisine and exotic weaponry.
