The Gastronauts visit New York’s master of high Turkish cuisine Orhan Yegen at his restaurant Sip Sak for some Kokorec and other delicacies.
We just can’t help ourselves: We have to go back to Southern Spice for seconds. Chef Sridhar Mani Ratnam’s Goat Brains are just about as perfect as can be.
For the Gastronauts 5th birthday, Brad Farmerie of Public puts on a beautiful blood-based dinner party featuring his Pig Blood Popsicles and other sanguine dishes.
Put on your plaid skirts, ladies and gents, and get out your flashes and pipes. Tuesday night’s Haggis isn’t some New York City “ffffaux haggois.” It’s as close to the real deal as you can possibly get in the U.S.
Aquavit and Chef Marcus Jernmark put on a fabulous dinner of Lutfisk and other Scandinavian dishes for the Gastronauts.
The Gastros head to the Louisiana Bayou, hunt Nutria, skin and eviscerate them, pack them in a cooler and fly them to NYC, where they put on a one-of-a-kind Nutria feast.
With the help of friends, the ‘Nauts put together an epic dinner of Chevaline, including Tartare de Cheval, Heart, Carpaccio and other dishes.
The folks at Txikio put on a warm welcome for the Gastronauts, serving up cod jowls, tripe, and other goodies.
Palo Santo is definitely our absolute favorite place in Park Slope, and one of our favorites in the City.
