Walking Tapas

June, 2007

This coming Tuesday, June 5th, in light of the lovely weather and our freewheeling spirits, we’re doing something different: Walking Tapas. Basically, that’s just a fancy way to say that we’ll be walking from place to place and eating a little something at each.

First, the neighborhood: Gramercy/Park Avenue South. For those of us that are more accustomed to our deepest Queens excursions, just think of this as the Flushing of Union Square.

Second, the grub: it’s a Oaxacan/Japanese “Robata” mixtape of love. This’ll be our first insect ingestion (and they are truly delicious) followed by most of the innards of a chicken, separated by organ, salted, skewered, and grilled. It’s a lovely combo.
